SMS Messaging & Consent Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
1. Overview
CamelStone LLC ("CamelStone," "we," "us," or "our") sends SMS text messages solely for account security. The only messages we send to your mobile number are one-time passcodes (OTP) used to verify your identity when you sign in and when you enable two-factor authentication (2FA). We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages over SMS.
2. How You Opt In
SMS two-factor authentication is strictly opt-in. Consent is collected directly from the account holder through our web platform and iOS application, in the following flow:
- You sign in to your CamelStone account and open Profile → Security → Two-Factor Authentication.
- You select Enable 2FA and enter your own mobile phone number in international (E.164) format.
- Before requesting a code, you are shown the following consent disclosure and must proceed knowingly to continue:
"By enabling SMS two-factor authentication, you agree to receive one-time security codes from CamelStone at the number provided. Message frequency depends on your sign-in activity. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help." - We send a verification code to that number, and you enter it to confirm that the number is yours. Only after this confirmation is SMS 2FA enabled.
Because the code is only ever sent after you enter your own number and confirm it, messages are exclusively transactional and user-initiated. We never add numbers to any list or send codes to a number you have not personally entered and verified.
3. Message Types and Frequency
You will only receive one-time verification codes. The frequency is determined entirely by your own activity — typically one message each time you sign in or change your security settings. We estimate this to be a low volume of messages per user per month.
Sample message
"Your CamelStone verification code is 123456. It expires in 10 minutes. Don't share this code. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
4. Opting Out and Getting Help
- Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from SMS messages. Reply HELP for assistance.
- You may also turn off SMS two-factor authentication at any time in Profile → Security → Two-Factor Authentication.
- For help, contact us at support@camel-stone.com.
5. Cost
CamelStone does not charge you for SMS messages. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
6. Privacy
Your mobile number is used only to deliver verification codes and is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. For full details, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
